Micro/Nano Manufacturing is concerned with developing the basis for industrial production of products and components in metals, polymers and ceramics with critical dimensions in the micrometer range. In particular, the research comprises product development, material development as well as development of processes and production systems for micro mechanical systems.
Among the core activities is found design of micro mechanical systems, tooling technologies for micro injection moulding and micro metal forming, mass production methods (micro injection moulding and micro metal forming), electro-chemical and chemical processes and the integration of single processes into coherent process chains and production systems.
